Operational Manager
Adele Prendergast
Adele recently joined WATIF and brings experience across accountancy, social enterprise and community development. Her career has spanned the corporate and third sectors, giving her a strong understanding of governance, organisational development and community-led change.
After training as an accountant, Adele took a role with a Big Four accountancy firm before moving into a senior internal audit role within a multinational manufacturing company based in the USA. She later founded Your Pay Your Way, a social enterprise focused on improving access to financial education and helping people build confidence in managing their finances.
Alongside running her own social enterprise, Adele worked with the Social Enterprise Academy, supporting schools, community groups and aspiring social entrepreneurs across Scotland. As a Key Facilitator, she mentored others and helped develop programmes that empower people to create positive change in their communities.
Adele will be focusing on strengthening WATIF through building partnerships and ensuring that local people remain at the heart of decision-making. She is committed to developing sustainable projects, supporting locals and creating opportunities that benefit residents across the area.
She will prioritise 3 key areas:
Community-Led Development: Ensuring local people have genuine opportunities to influence priorities, shape projects and help determine the future direction of the Trust.
Sustainable Growth: Developing projects, services and assets that create long-term social, environmental and economic benefits.
Collaboration and Opportunity: Building strong relationships with residents, volunteers, businesses and partners to maximise opportunities and deliver meaningful impact.
