We're bringing the cabin back to its original use as a gym and creating a wellbeing space within this.
We've kitted the space out with new equipment, rescued some old pieces and will be adding to this as we develop this part of the farm.
We're planning a mixture of activities, including:
- The gym with proper exercise equipment
- Farm Fitness – making the most of our outdoor space
- Small wellbeing groups
- Small group gym sessions with support and guidance
- Opportunities to get active together
We're fortunate to have a qualified personal trainer on our staff who'll be helping us develop the activities on offer and supporting locals to improve their health and wellbeing.
We'll be starting very shortly with our young people. Our first sessions will be for under 18s on Fridays from 2pm to 4.30pm before we open The Engine Room more widely to WATIF members.
As with everything at Loanhead Farm, we're working with the facilities and resources we have, making improvements as we go and finding ways to make better use of what's already here. The aim is to provide something affordable, welcoming and useful to our community, whether you're building strength, improving fitness, getting outdoors, meeting new people or just taking some time for yourself.
More details on our affordable memberships, activities and opening arrangements will follow.
